I’m Belinda Vickerson — award-winning portrait and branding photographer, based in Southwest Georgia and working with women across Albany, Columbus, and Atlanta.
I studied photography at Howard University and spent 20+ years in sales and marketing before earning my MBA from the University of Illinois. When we sit down together, I’m not just thinking about light and angles. I’m thinking about your brand, your audience, the woman you’re growing into, and how your images need to do all of that work at once.
Most photographers can make you look good. I want to make you look like yourself, at your most powerful, most intentional, most undeniably visible.
I’ve spent decades watching women minimize themselves. Shrink for the room. Apologize for taking up space. Use photos from three years and two chapters ago because they haven’t made time for themselves yet.
I photograph women because I know what it costs to be invisible, and I know what changes when you’re not.
This work isn’t about vanity. It’s about documentation. About saying: this woman, at this moment in her life, is worth seeing. Because she is. Because you are.
I turned 50 this year. I’m celebrating it loudly, on purpose, through my own ongoing self-portrait series called 50 & Free. I believe beauty doesn’t fade. It evolves. And I try to prove that with every session I shoot, including my own.
When I’m not behind the camera I’m traveling somewhere new, standing in a garden, or eating something worth talking about. I mentor women in business because I can’t help it. It’s just who I am.
I show up for my clients the way I wish someone had shown up for me, fully present, deeply invested, and completely certain of what I see in them.
