She Rang the Bell: Photographing Breast Cancer Survivor Tabitha Marion

She’s more than a breast cancer survivor. She’s a mother, daughter, friend, advocate, and my sister.Â
The positive diagnosis after a routine mammogram was devastating. But, I’m grateful that I could be there to support her in her journey to healing. And here we are, 8 months after that initial diagnosis, and she is cancer free. Of course we had to celebrate with a photoshoot to capture this occasion.
We chose the Columbus Museum for her session and she dressed in her favorite colors. Pink, to represent breast cancer awareness, and red to represent love, courage, and passion.
Springtime at the Museum is beautiful and the gardens offer bursts of colors, courtesy of the wonderful blooms. It was the perfect backdrop for our session!
“My mission is to inspire women to show up boldly, live courageously, and rediscover their power.”
